Dion pizza chain comes to Colorado Springs: Ground breaking May 30, 2012

DION’S PIZZA CHOOSES COLORADO SPRINGS FOR

FIRST COLORADO LOCATION 

Groundbreaking will occur on May 30 with first Dion’s in the state scheduled to open in November, bringing more than 75 new jobs to the community

Dion’s Pizza is pleased to announce that it is bringing its award-winning pizza, salads and subs to Colorado Springs residents along with more than 75 new jobs. The restaurant founders and president will break ground at a ceremony next week and begin construction immediately, with plans to open to the public in November 2012.

 

Groundbreaking details:

• o   When: Wednesday, May 30, 2012
• o   Time: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
• o   Where: 6385 Source Center Point, near North Powers and Dublin
• o   Visuals: Dion’s two founders and president wearing hard hats and digging the first shovels of dirt at the new location.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce, Dion’s leadership team and many fans of the beloved pizza establishment will be on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony. The public is invited to attend and enjoy Dion’s famous cookies and lemonade.

In Colorado Springs, Dion’s 5,394 square feet of space includes indoor tables for dining and a convenient pick-up window. It will hold up to 164 customers. As with all of its stores, the location will feature an open kitchen layout, a pizza stand for children to watch and interact with pizza makers, and Tiffany lamps throughout the interior.

“We chose Colorado Springs as our first Colorado location because the tight knit community and connectedness of Colorado Springs residents matches Dion’s dedication to creating a family-friendly environment where friends and neighbors can gather,” said Doug Morse, president of Dion’s Pizza. “We expect to be a part of this community for decades to come.”
