The movies for the ever popular “Film on the Rocks” summer series at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison CO have finally been revealed. In a great marketing ploy by FOTR organizers made the public wait until their event last night to reveal the 2012 schedule of movies at Red Rocks.
Westword found people were upset with some of the choices and noted that “The Notebook” in particular rubbed people the wrong way. Karla Rodriguez, Audience Development and Social Media Manager for FOTR responded: “It’s because The Notebook has been one of our top five most-requested films consistently since it came out. The movies were chosen based on viewer feedback, polls taken on their Facebook page and with the Denver Film Center having the final say in the decision.
Film on the Rocks is one of the most popular outdoor events in Denver
And no wonder! You get to watch the sunset over the Rockies in one of the most spectacular venues in the world that lives right here in our back yard. (Red Rocks Amphitheater) You get to bring your friends and family, listen to great music and then watch a cult classic movie at dusk. We will miss The Big Lebowski and Princess Bride but were excited to see “Bridesmaids” made the cut.
Information on the pre-party and party bus festivities follows the Film on the Rocks movie lineup below.
