Trick or Treating Fun for Halloween for Kids in Denver Metro
Many of the suburban area’s surrounding Denver have long standing traditions of providing fun activities, costume contests and trick or treating through the business area or a park as well as the annual Bucket List events like Boo at the Zoo. We have gathered a list of our favorite’s. Please feel free to let us know if we’ve left one off the Halloween Fun list that should be included.
Halloween Events for Kids
Trick or Treat Street October 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Childrens Museum of Denver
Trick or Treat Train October 27-28 at the Colorado Railroad Museum 17155 W. 44th Ave., Golden
Halloween Fun at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science
OVERNIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: A POISONOUS HALLOWEEN
Includes pizza dinner, evening snack, and hot breakfast.
This event is for families with K–8th grade children only.
Boo at the Zoo AFTER DARK Denver Zoo, Denver Join Denver Zoo’s nocturnal creatures during a special night time additional of Boo At The Zoo.
Bug a Boo at the Butterfly Pavillion October 27-28 Come meet the Butterfly Pavilion’s creepiest crawliest friends .
Trick or Treat Trail at Elitches – Saturdays and Sundays October 5 – 28 from noon-5 p.m., little ghouls and goblins can trick or treat their way around Kiddieland. Pick up your trick or treat bags and maps in the “Bootique” on Main Street. For children under 54″ tall please.
Aspen Grove Trick-or-Treat Street (Littleton)
Saturday, Oct 31st | 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The Aspen Grove in Littleton will have a funfilled evening of sweet treats, hayrides, entertainment and more! Leashed dogs are welcome as always.
Trick or Treat on Mainstreet (Parker)
Saturday October 31st | 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Trick or Treat on Mainstreet is something the entire Parker community looks forward to each year. Kids of all ages are invited to dress up in costume and join in on the fun!
Munchkin Masquerade (Boulder)
Saturday, October 31st | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Halloween on Pearl Street is probably one of the cutest sights you’ll ever see. Kids dress up and go trick-or-treating to the shops all along Pearl Street!
Saturday, October 24th | 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Take your pup for a hike this Saturday at Wonderland Lake in Boulder. Costumes for both humans and dogs are welcome and encouraged!
Trick or Treat Street (Longmont)
Saturday, October 31st | Parade starts at 10:00 a.m.
Kids of all ages are invited to join the Longmont Halloween Parade in costume. The Halloween Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. and trick-or-treating starts immediately after!
15th Annual Halloween Carnival at the Apex Center (Arvada)
Friday, Oct 23rd | 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The 15th Annual Halloween Carnival in Arvada will have ghoulish games, inflatables, a hayride and much more.
Trick or Treat Train (Golden)
Saturday, October 31st | 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All aboard for treats and a fun time at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden! Catch a ride behind the historic locomotive in vintage passenger cars hosted by conductors and engineers in full costume and make a visit to the“not so spooky” haunted railcar or the Olde Railroaders silly graveyard.
Safe Street Halloween (Northglenn)
Saturday, October 24th| 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
There will be fun games, cookie decorating, ghostly storytelling, and much more at Northglenn High School this Saturday. Each year more than 3,500 pounds of candy are handed out! YUM.
Special rate – $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $3 Children
Trek or Treat Off the Street is a Halloween celebration with plenty of spooky surprises for children of all ages. Will you dare take the Haunted Trek through Ghoul-ology? This event features a variety of activities including creepy crawly crafts, live animals, a bounce house and much more for the entire family!
In honor of the greatest Halloween tradition, candy booths will line the museum’s hallways, allowing guests to fill up their bags with candy and spooky toys in a safe, fun environment regardless of weather conditions.
Trunk or Treat (Thornton)
Saturday, October 24th | 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Spend the evening going from trunk to trunk at the Carpenter Park Field Parking Lots in Thornton! There will also be a spooky haunted walk for the older kids!
Trunk or Treat (Wheatridge)
Saturday, October 24th | 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Trunk-or-treating, a costume parade, a haunted house, carnival games and lots of fun will be happening in Wheatridge this Saturday!
Trick or Treat Street (Denver)
Friday – Sunday, Oct 23rd-25th | 9:00 a.m. each day
The Children’s Museum in Denver will offer treat houses filled with yummy goodies, a Monster Carnival overflowing with games, lots of Halloween arts and crafts and lots more fun October 23-25!
Spook Out Shoot Out Trick or Treat (Colorado Springs)
October 17, 23, 24, 25, 30 | 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
World Golf in Colorado Springs will have hay rides, carnival games, haunted miniature golf, trick-or-treating and so much more. Don’t forget to come in costume for nightly costume contests!
