New in Breckenridge, Colorado Summer 2012
Breckenridge kicks off summer June 15-17 with Kingdom Days (Breck’s annual heritage celebration), Outhouse Races, the opening of the Fun Park and a full weekend of activities. The fun continues all summer with a variety of new offerings in Breck:
- Opened February 2012, The Warming Hut restaurant and bar focuses on classic comfort food made with Colorado-sourced products. Other new businesses include boutique retailers Summit Soap Company, Backpacker’s Gourmet Chocolate and Olive Fusion.
- Breckenridge distillery recently released Breck Bitters, a sipping bitters made with herbs hand-harvested in the Breckenridge area.
- The Breckenridge Arts District (BAD) is offering two new workshops, metalsmithing and green beauty
Breckenridge has again been selected as a host city for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. The 2012 race will feature professional cycling’s best competing on a challenging course through some of America’s most beautiful scenery. The second annual USA Pro Cycling Challenge rolls through Colorado August 20-26, 2012 – see the Stage 5 Start in Breck on Aug. 24, 2012.
