Urban Method from NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’ at Cherokee Ranch

Denver’s own Urban Method acapella hip hop group that made it to the finals of NBC’s “The Sing Off” comes to the Cherokee Ranch in Sedalia Colorado  Saturday, August 11: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Pavilion Tent

Urban Method Denver’s home grown group did us proud representing every week with their own brand of Rappapella or hiphop-apella as Shawn Stockman coined a new musical term while the group was on “The Sing Off” . Ben Folds said they sound like they have a full track behind them not just an acapella group, “The biggest jam box in the whole world.”

The musical style of Urban Method is exactly what the name implies: Urban, being the downtown street version of raw music driven by beats and rhyme; and Method, the way they distinctly lay down their arrangement as a detailed piece of music, eight parts as one. Urban Method is an intoxicating, cohesive sound.

Urban Method was formed by Tony Huerta of Sonic Audio. He heard each vocalist sing at the Sonic Audio recording studio and slowly pieced Urban Method together.
